Privacy Policy

HomeDeck is developed by Sergey Eskin. For privacy questions, contact the developer using the Support link on the HomeDeck App Store product page.

Data processed by the app

• Apple Home and HomeKit. HomeDeck reads the homes, rooms, accessories, scenes, security states, events, and compatible camera feeds that you authorize through Apple Home. This information is processed on your device through Apple frameworks and is not uploaded to or stored on servers operated by the developer. Controls you initiate are sent through HomeKit.
• Camera video. Compatible HomeKit camera snapshots and streams are displayed on your device. HomeDeck does not record them or transmit them to servers operated by the developer.
• Location and weather. With your permission, device location is used to request local weather through Apple WeatherKit and resolve a locality name through Apple MapKit. The most recent location and locality may be cached on your device so weather remains available when a new location cannot be obtained. The developer does not receive this location data.
• Apple Music. If you grant Music access, HomeDeck uses Apple MusicKit to show recommendations and recently played content, and to control playback. Music authorization tokens and listening history are not sent to servers operated by the developer.
• Favorites and settings. Preferences are stored locally. Favorite selections may also be synchronised through Apple iCloud Key-Value Storage between devices signed in to the same Apple Account.
• Purchases. Optional HomeDeck Pro purchases are processed by Apple StoreKit. The developer does not receive or store payment-card details.

Tracking and advertising

HomeDeck does not contain third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. The developer does not track you across apps or websites and does not sell personal data.

Retention and control

Local data remains on your device until it is changed, reset, or the app is removed. Synced favorite selections may remain in your iCloud account until changed in HomeDeck or removed through Apple account controls. Home, Location, Music, and Notification permissions can be withdrawn at any time in system Settings.

Apple services used by HomeDeck are governed by Apple's privacy policy and your Apple Account settings.
