How do I turn an iPad into a HomeKit dashboard?
Install HomeDeck, allow access to the Apple Home you already use, choose the rooms, scenes, cameras, and calendar you want to show, then place the iPad on a stand or secure wall mount.
Does HomeDeck replace Apple Home or require another hub?
No. HomeDeck works with your existing Apple Home setup and does not add a new hub requirement. Remote access and automations continue to follow Apple Home requirements.
Can I use HomeDeck on a wall-mounted iPad?
Yes. The interface is suitable for a mounted iPad as well as a stand, desk, or bedside setup. Choose a safe power and mounting solution for your device.
